I joined a few years ago, never again. I’m amazed that they are still going so sadly it looks like women are still parting with their money.

There are not enough men on the books resulting in men being given free membership. They trawl dating sites to sign them up and then ask them to sign an NDA.

At the big sell initial appointment you are shown lots of eligible profiles. Many of these are previous men who have left...or they don’t exist. You select them...and that’s the last you hear...I had many who had conveniently gone on hold/didn’t say yes/or swapped numbers...only to never hear from them and you call the number only for it to go to a voicemail with no personal message. Think about it, what an easy thing to set up! And there you go, that’s one of your matches towards your 10 so no money back at the end of the year!

Their customer service is awful, they aren’t interested and very quick to threaten legal. I have seen a very threatening response from them to another review online.

This review is FAKE. We do NOT nor have we EVER taken men onto our books for free. Both male and female clients pay our joining fee. We do NOT nor have we EVER trawled dating sites to sign men up and then get them to sign a NDA. All our men exist we do not make up fake profiles. We do NOT have a voicemail with no personal message on it all our calls are answered personally. We have been in business since 1988 and would not have been had we not been good at what we do. Legal advice has been taken. The statements made in this review are untrue and intended to damage our reputation. I have just spent £1100 with ths agency and I have to say it really is a waste of money. Using the pretext of 'personal' service - everything is competed manually which although it sounds sweet it also means there is no real database and you cant browse members on their books (and vice versa) - you are only allowed to see the profiles they choose for you (the same faces again and again). The profiles are printed off and presented to you (you're also only allowed to have 3-4 photos on your profile). If you do sign up for online access - again you will only ever see profiles they have picked for you and vice versa - so the chances of you happening on someone who catches your eye are almost zero and it works the same way for a gentleman choosing you - its entirely dependent on one of the assistants showing your profile because they think you might like eachother. There is no online search facility - (this defeats the objective of having an online facility at all). Each time i asked How many men are there on your books' the answer was always 'its hard to tell because its changing all the time' I found out that many of the men are on a different charging model - they pay a fee for every introduction but no membership fee - or a very very small one. I believe this is because they are trying to encourage more men to join however it works against the women as it can become quire expensive. It seems common knowledge among the men that this is the case. The communication and follow up is extremely poor for the amount of money you pay for membership. Once you make a selection, you only ever hear back if the gentlemen would like to make contact - otherwise its silence. Theres no confirmation that members were contacted on your behalf - you will just have to believe them. Again the lack of any kind of automation means everything is left to individuals, the only personal service is at the initial meeting - to sell you the membership. If you question or express any dissatisfaction, the conversation can become quite defensive. If you still decide to go ahead - make sure you read the contract you sign at the beginning - it has about 20 get out clauses, so be warned before you sign up and just think of how many years of dating (if it comes to that) you could have with a modern site that has at least tens of thousands of members to choose from rather than the small handful at Sara Eden.
