The website is designed to entice you to pay money to chat with other paying members and for an extra load of money you can then have non paying members be able to contact you. Never met one that had paid for that service.
Basically if you join then you become the advertiser enticing newly joined people to pay the website to see your messages. So you waste your time and money contacting people who can not get back to you unless they pay to view your messages.
You might be able to sneek a message through the titles in the free icebreaker mail feature. My favorite message title was "Dont pay this website" perhaps "Dont use this website" would be more informative.

I am recentrly a subcriber to this site loveagain., after being using the site only one day I was force to pay ($77.97) for three months. The next day I did't receive anythng for anybody, after receiving every seconds a lot of emails, winkd and everyathing you can imagine...I am older but I still looking nice. This is why I have suspicous that something fishing there..I let match.com for the same problems after using for three years....it so sad that is impossible truth any dating site anymore.

You can't find even one girl who want to have a real date with you. Even if she is living in neighborhood. But there is a lot of "girls" who want to take you on special website (i.e. blackbook.com), they will give you sepcial code so you don't need to pay for the show, but... You have to register and give all your credit card details!
Checked plenty pics in tineye.com, 98% of them was taken from other websites (i.e. picture stocks or adult websites).

There is something very Tuna about this site, I have, several times been sent private messages, none have started with Hi Nigel my name is ect ect, nothing personal is said to me from the sender, I have no feeling that they have even looked at my profile, nothing infact to indicate that it is a genuine contact, you get the feeling that they are not personal messages but sent by the site administrators, one time when I made contact, I was asked if I would send my e-mail address and on doing so we communicated for two weeks and then I was sent a message from her/him?, "as it was clearly a scam" it might as well have been a guy, saying I am in a spot of bother sweetie can you send me 300 pounds. The next time was someone asking for my e-mail address again and feeling more wise to the situation, I replied to the sender saying the following, the last time I did this I was scammed, if you are genuine, say something to convince me otherwise, I also added this contact to my favourites list, two hours later this contact vanished from the site and also from my favourites list, the site management must have played a part in that, how could that contact be removed from my favourites list. I am logging everything down as I am thinking of forwarding it to the tradding standards.

Dateactive is a site for active people a very niche market and it does work, Unlike a lot of other sites there are not 1000 of spam profiles. Looking at the profiles on the site people do look genuine and certainly share a common interest with a good age range.
The site is run by outdoor people for outdoor people so that could be a good thing as they will understand the market better.
And amazing there are real people working at dateactive who answer questions on email, they do help you if you make a mistake on your profile and even better there is no standing order for payment, you pay once and you wont get charged again unless you set up another payment.
Easy to use site and you can view as many profiles as you want before deciding to join, and once joined you can message anyone on the site so you can select who looks of interest to you and contact them as dating is a two way process.

I was a little sceptical of the site at first but sent off a couple of questions before I actually signed up and incredibly, received helpful and prompt replies from the people who run it who seem keen outdoors enthusiasts themselves and most definitely in the UK. So I signed up and posted my profile. Within a few days of joining dateactive.co.uk, my profile had been viewed several times. They say that you only need to pay to use the messaging system. That was true, I could use every part of the site other than to send messages. So I took the plunge and paid for a subscription and although I haven't yet found the love of my life, I have been exchanging messages with a couple of ladies on the site.

I had the same experience as the poster above, but didn't notice until SpeedDater had deducted £48 from my credit card. I was shocked to discover they had been charging me without my knowledge.
When I phoned to request a refund, the customer service agent was less than helpful. I explained that if you sign up to buy a ticket for an event, you do not expect to end up subscribed to a website by default. It may be somewhere in the small print, but this is an extremely underhand tactic and if not illegal, is certainly immoral.
Needless to say, I will never again attend a speeddater event. (I am still waiting to hear if they will refund my money.)

This site is loaded with fake profiles, which appear to be automated \\\"bots\\\" whose task is to \\\"view\\\" and \\\"wink\\\" at profiles at random, presumably to get trial members to sign up. However they continue to view and wink at you even after you sign up. I didn't notice at first, as they are all 29 years old or younger, of no interest to me, so I didn't click on them. But after a week or so, if you do a search and sort by \\\"number of views\\\" and you will find the top dozen or so are all 29 year olds who have viewed you 8 or 9 times but never messaged you. They all use the same few photos and some use the same descriptive text, only the locations vary. You then have to spend half an hour blocking them all so you can see the wood for the trees. I also received a lot of messages from women in Berlin and Paris which I thought suspicious. If you bite, I expect they will want to come and see you but you will have to send them money for the journey, and of course they will not turn up. Once you have blocked this lot as well, the site then becomes usable. It is actually quite well laid out and easy to use, but you can't filter users by last time on site, so a lot of the women in your search results will not have visited the site for months or even years. To get round this, you have to sort the results by last visit, then only look at the top few in the list.
Well the title says it all!!! Like the others I registered and had a look around. Within a wek I had 47 emails.........47 oh my goodness I thought lucky me!!!
So I part with my cash and read them all then send replies to the ones that sounded nice............surprise surprise............nothing!

Like another reviewer I joined a couple of times on a 3 day pass. To go for a whole month is too expensive (like all dating sites) and had far too many scammers (like all dating sites). However, once you get used to their tricks and know what to look out for, you find their are plenty of genuine people on there.
I was fortunate enough to arrange meetings with a couple of women which was fun, and made contact with several others. I'm happy to say I'm still in regular contact with 2 ladies and continue to meet a third on an irregular basis.
For me, joining up was definitely worth it, but I think I got lucky (in every sense of the phrase). Would I do it again? No. They need to slash prices and work to clear out the cam girls, and then I might consider it.

I've used SH for a number of years and as a single male it has generated quite a few meets for me, some amazing, some amazingly bad. However, and this is an important caveat, I am very well hung, have pics of myself in action, and have worked VERY hard at generating meets. I have put a LOT of time into it, and the meets haven't come easy, they've had to be earned. So, in conclusion, if I - with those things in my favour - have only had a reasonable time on there, you do wonder about the experiences of other men using SH...my suspicion would be that they wouldn't be crazy about it...
If I have a criticism of the site it's that it seems terribly reluctant to "get with the programme" and make it all about who's hot. Culturally I think it still has one foot firmly lodged in the old-school perception of swingers ie. overweight people in their 50s planning dogging trips, when the world has moved on, and now there are fit couples in their twenties and even teens looking to spice up their love life.
Overall though, the site is at least pretty spam free (which was one of the nightmares of Adultfriendfinder when I was a member there), and it's at least better than many of the sex sites I've heard about.

All the guys are fakes. They have no profiles, because they are not paying the site. It is an absolute joke. They take money from vulnerable women, and give them fake dates. There are actually no men in this age range on their site.
I joined this site approx 5 weeks ago, and have frankly struggled. I have managed to have vague conversation with a few women on here. And did make it to meet one.
It was during these discussion that I have really figured out what is happening. My experience has been that many of my e-mails have been ignored, those that have responded have done so with just a one liner. I had at least 3 women say they are getting 30+ approaches a day from men, and simply do not have the time to read them all. Also as its free for women I think many of the female members are there for a bit of flirtation or to feed their curiosity, they are not really committed to want to get to know someone or to meet anyone, and as its free they have nothing to lose. Interestingly some women said if they had had to pay they would not have joined ? why should they when they can join free elsewhere. I actually think this is one of the better and more professional sites, I have not been inundated with spam, or false e-mails as I have on others. That?s said I have spend a lot of money to be part of some huge chasing mass of males chasing a few women, many of which are just on there for the thrill of the chase. 5 weeks in and I have messaged every profile that?s is of interest (and that?s across 3 counties) who has actually logged on within a week, those that haven?t are in my view clearly not that active or interested. To have totaled just a few vague chats and 1 meet is not a great outcome from what amounts to over 100 messages I have sent. I have set up an alert for new members, (women aged between 30 and 54 in the 3 counties I mentioned) and new members are around 1 per week.
Not sure what I will do next, but to pay such a high amount to be part of such a large chasing pack, chasing such a few genuine female users is just not good value. For me I won?t be renewing.

They all use the same few photos and some use the same descriptive text, only the locations vary. You then have to spend half an hour blocking them all so you can see the wood for the trees. I also received a lot of messages from women in Berlin and Paris which I thought suspicious. If you bite, I expect they will want to come and see you but you will have to send them money for the journey, and of course they will not turn up. Once you have blocked this lot as well, the site then becomes usable. It is actually quite well laid out and easy to use, but you can't filter users by last time on site, so a lot of the women in your search results will not have visited the site for months or even years. To get round this, you have to sort the results by last visit, then only look at the top few in the list.

Review about BeNaughtyLike another reviewer I joined a couple of times on a 3 day pass. To go for a whole month is too expensive (like all dating sites) and had far too many scammers (like all dating sites). However, once you get used to their tricks and know what to look out for, you find their are plenty of genuine people on there.
I was fortunate enough to arrange meetings with a couple of women which was fun, and made contact with several others. I'm happy to say I'm still in regular contact with 2 ladies and continue to meet a third on an irregular basis.
For me, joining up was definitely worth it, but I think I got lucky (in every sense of the phrase). Would I do it again? No. They need to slash prices and work to clear out the cam girls, and then I might consider it.
If you want to try it, use a 3 day pass and CANCEL AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AFTER PAYING.

Review about SwingingHeavenI've used SH for a number of years and as a single male it has generated quite a few meets for me, some amazing, some amazingly bad. However, and this is an important caveat, I am very well hung, have pics of myself in action, and have worked VERY hard at generating meets. I have put a LOT of time into it, and the meets haven't come easy, they've had to be earned. So, in conclusion, if I - with those things in my favour - have only had a reasonable time on there, you do wonder about the experiences of other men using SH...my suspicion would be that they wouldn't be crazy about it...
If I have a criticism of the site it's that it seems terribly reluctant to "get with the programme" and make it all about who's hot. Culturally I think it still has one foot firmly lodged in the old-school perception of swingers ie. overweight people in their 50s planning dogging trips, when the world has moved on, and now there are fit couples in their twenties and even teens looking to spice up their love life.
Overall though, the site is at least pretty spam free (which was one of the nightmares of Adultfriendfinder when I was a member there), and it's at least better than many of the sex sites I've heard about.

It was during these discussion that I have really figured out what is happening. My experience has been that many of my e-mails have been ignored, those that have responded have done so with just a one liner. The effort from women has frankly been poor, and I was baffled as to why ? you don?t have a picture on display (this is normal on this site ? you have a password protected picture on the site and share the password with someone when you want to), I am average height, build, have a good job, am degree educated and my profile was intelligently written ? so although I fully accept I am not everyone cup of tea, I was surprised by such a lack of interest. I think I know why. Men have to pay a high amount to join, but for women its free. I assumed this would swing the numbers in the males favour, but it does not. I had at least 3 women say they are getting 30+ approaches a day from men, and simply do not have the time to read them all. Also as its free for women I think many of the female members are there for a bit of flirtation or to feed their curiosity, they are not really committed to want to get to know someone or to meet anyone, and as its free they have nothing to lose. Interestingly some women said if they had had to pay they would not have joined ? why should they when they can join free elsewhere. I actually think this is one of the better and more professional sites, I have not been inundated with spam, or false e-mails as I have on others. That?s said I have spend a lot of money to be part of some huge chasing mass of males chasing a few women, many of which are just on there for the thrill of the chase. 5 weeks in and I have messaged every profile that?s is of interest (and that?s across 3 counties) who has actually logged on within a week, those that haven?t are in my view clearly not that active or interested. To have totaled just a few vague chats and 1 meet is not a great outcome from what amounts to over 100 messages I have sent. I have set up an alert for new members, (women aged between 30 and 54 in the 3 counties I mentioned) and new members are around 1 per week.
Not sure what I will do next, but to pay such a high amount to be part of such a large chasing pack, chasing such a few genuine female users is just not good value. For me I won?t be renewing.
